Building a cozy secret base in the ‘everyday blind spots’ of an exhausted city
The city is so convenient, with everything you could need. And yet, somehow, I found myself feeling empty and worn out. Before I knew it, I was looking for somewhere to hide, somewhere to escape. I want to watch the city and its people from a distance, as if I'd left my own body — to hole up somewhere and just space out. For all the “komora” (homebodies) out there, this project builds and offers a hideout-like sanctuary, tucked into a “blind spot of everyday life” that exists in the city and in our own routines but goes unnoticed. It's a project about creating a small, hidden, comfortable corner — a niche, a nook — like that.
