Treating footsteps as a brush to paint the city, turning a walk into a creative experience

ASIBA Creative Incubation Program 2nd
2024.04.01 -

Our watercolor app, Water Paint, treats the footsteps of someone walking through the city as a brush, drawing a picture across the urban landscape. For busy people today, walking through a city can feel like wasted time spent filling the gap between two destinations. By turning one's own trail into a painting, this app's purpose is to transform the everyday act of walking into the creative act of producing a watercolor. Planned features include a version where only your own footsteps appear, and a version where multiple people's footsteps influence one another. This turns a self-contained act into an interaction with others — where each person's trail color affects the others' — making a walk through the city a once-in-a-lifetime, exciting experience.
